Rev. Tony Love has served under appointment in the Baltimore-Washington Conference for 12 years. Appointed in January 2004 to Covenant Point UMC, which was a new church start, he has led this young congregation into financial stability and spiritual maturity. Prior to Covenant Point, he served Zion UMC in Lexington Park where he guided the sanctuary renovation project and revitalized the church's ministry and mission.

He is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park with a B.A. in English Literature and Language. He holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Howard University. He is a member of the 1999 World Methodist Council's Order of Faithful Leaders as Mission Evangelists. Within the Baltimore-Washington Conference, he has served on the Board of Congregational Life as well as the Loans and Grants Committee. Presently, he chairs the Conference Trustees, supports the Annual Conference Arrangements Committee, and serves as the Cooperative School of Christian Missions' Assistant Dean. A mentor to candidates for ordained ministry, Tony enjoys providing instruction at Leadership Days and the School of Christian Growth. 

Rev. Amanda Sayers, Associate Pastor, Covenant Point UMC, Associate Pastor, Covenant Point/Lakeside Cooperative Parish   pastormandy@covpoint.org

Rev. Amanda Sayers has served as a church hire at Glen Mar UMC in Ellicott City, coordinating worship and evangelism ministries, since approximately 2003.  She led a team that designed and implemented a community outreach plan in connection with the opening of Glen Mar's new building. She has a passion for preaching, worship and pastoral care.

She is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Connecticut Law School.  She holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary.  She has been married to her husband, Eric, for 15 years and they have two beautiful children.
